The more I ponder over the photos I took yesterday morning, the more I come to like these close-ups of the ice. It is such a magical sight. Art created by nature.
To be honest, I was not in a very mindful state taking these photos yesterday – I had about half an hour before I had to be at an activity with my 4-year-old and he was climbing around the icy shoreline while I was trying to get a few good pictures in. Not the best set-up to be ‘in the moment’ and focused. I am quite happy with the outcome though. To me, it almost looks like a painting.
